Happy New Year, friends!
2017 was one of the best years of my life if not *the* best. Personally and professionally, I almost have no complaints. Some of my highlights are:
- I got married and had the most seamless wedding full of love and our favorite people.
- I started a new job that I absolutely love.
- Life in Wanderlust grew tremendously and worked with incredible brands like Toyota, Suja, United HealthCare, Carnival Cruises, Coca Cola & more!
- I traveled to tons of new places and back to familiar spots.
- We welcomed a Corgi puppy into our little family.
- One of the happiest years ever!
As you can see, 2018 has big shoes to fill! I’m so excited for what’s ahead and I’m totally ready for it! Do you still make New Year Resolutions? As I grow older and become more mature (hopefully..), I’ve stopped giving myself NYRs that are unattainable (Eat 8 servings of vegetables daily! Run a marathon monthly! Get my body fat to less than 5%! – real NYR’s from when I was young and naive stupid). With that said, here are my personal resolutions for 2018 that I hope to keep throughout the year!
- Travel to 3 new countries.
- Travel to 2 new states.
- Go to Zumba more (I love Zumba but I stopped going ever since my favorite instructor left!).
- Get promoted at work (I suppose it’s not a ‘resolution’ per se but you get the idea).
- Explore Los Angeles more!
- Read more books in both Japanese & English.
- Drink more water or tea and less coffee!

Oh gosh, your 2018 looks packed Kana! 2017 seemed like such a beautiful year for you, congratulations on getting married. I hope your 2018 gets so much better (and I'm sure it would be, I see a lot of Japan travel in your future!). 🙂 I'm heading to Korea, Bali, and Japan this year!

It's definitely packed and it's been updated since I wrote this too, haha! I'm so jealous you're headed to Bali! When will you be in Japan? If you need help or suggestions, let me know! xo
