Welcome to another ‘L.A Locals Love..’ where I feature exciting places to eat, explore and visit in the Greater Los Angeles area!
My friend texted me about the Los Angeles Donut Festival about a month ago and about 3 minutes later, we both had our hands on the Sprinkle Me VIP tickets. It’s the first Donut Festival ever, we had no clue what it was going to be like but when someone puts the word ‘donut’ and ‘festival’ together, how does one not get excited?
We’re celebrating donuts? Celebrating with donuts? Whatever it is, yes please!
The event was held at the Graffiti House near Echo Park in Los Angeles for a mere 3 hours (11:00AM-2:00PM) and the line was ridiculous for registration! Tickets were completely sold out for the event and we even saw some people scalping for them outside the gates! Thankfully we had purchased VIP tickets so the line for registration was incredibly short and we were able to get in quickly.
The Graffiti House had live music, a lot of seating, several donut booths from local donut shops, free-flowing coffee stands, a donut burger truck and a VIP area. We got a pretty big cardboard tray with a punch card to get donuts from each booth. I swear, my tray was getting so heavy after visiting over 10 donut booths!
One thing that was included in the VIP Ticket we were looking forward to was the Donut Burger. It was surprisingly tasty for how gross it looked at first. I added lettuce, onions, some condiments and it was like a normal burger! Kind of a sweet and salty sort of delicious! It’s one of those things you have to try, I guess!
It seems as though they’ll be doing this again next year seeing as there were several people wanting tickets; I think they underestimated how much people love donuts! If you plan on attending next year, I highly recommend paying $15 extra and going for the Sprinkle Me VIP Tickets and here’s why:
– Special registration table with virtually no line compared to the hour long General Admissions line
– Mug and a T-shirt
– Donut Burger, chips and a drink included ($12 for General Admissions attendees)
– VIP Area access
– Premium donut tasting
– Exclusive espresso bar
It was so much fun! Let me just say though, I never thought I would ever feel this way but I ‘donut‘ want another donut for probably the rest of this year!

Oh my!! I'm not the biggest fan of donuts but the look so cute!! It must have been a fan festival!
Oh my word, a donut burger! Something I've never going to eat as I'm vegetarian and don't like donuts – but I know my partner would be first in the line to try one π #mondayescapes

This looks delicious! The patty on the donut burger looks just how I like it, but somehow I can't wrap my head around it. I'm sure it's probably pretty good. I did try a peanut butter burger that was actually really good. Thanks for the tip about the VIP tickets.
Finally someone that likes donuts too! Yes, it was heaven….at least in the beginning before I got sick! Haha! Thanks for stopping by, Carrie! xo
Hi Karen! You know, funny that you mention that because the patty was actually the best part! It didn't taste as different as your head may think! A peanut butter burger sounds delicious! Thanks so much for stopping by! xo
