I’m so excited to be sharing 10 of the coolest Airbnbs in Joshua Tree! As accommodations start to open up again here in the United States (specifically California in my case), I’ve started looking at Airbnbs that are isolated so that I can get the best of both worlds: a vacation but socially distanced from others! Naturally in California, I immediately thought of the desert.
Now without further ado, let’s get started on the 10 coolest Airbnbs in Joshua Tree!
Moon Camp : Off-Grid Joshua Tree Retreat | $199/night
The Moon Camp in Joshua Tree is what actually inspired me to compose this post. Who knew there’s so many unique Airbnbs in Joshua Tree? Moon Camp has three structures; the main home and two shipping containers turned guest-house and lounge room with hammocks. It doesn’t hurt that the views (both day and night!) are absolutely stunning!
Large Dome House | $169/night
This modern large Dome House is technically in Palm Springs but I couldn’t not include this stunning piece of architecture. It’s only 15 minutes from downtown Palm Springs and sits across a magnificent mountainous background and the famous windmills. A soaring 26-foot ceiling? Swoon.
Magical Airstream | $201/night
For anyone that knows me, they would be shocked to see I’m including an Airstream to the list but here we are! The Magical Airstream is definitely one of the most unique, coolest Airbnbs in Joshua Tree. If you’re looking for a cozy, charming romantic getaway, it’s here in the Magical Airstream.
360° Private Piece of Joshua Tree | $180/night
Who doesn’t want to relax in a hot-tub with complete privacy after a nice hike through their private hiking trails? The Airbnb itself looks charming and comfortable but the hot-tub and sprawling views? Can’t beat that.
Dome in the Desert | $143/night
The host calls this a ‘modern-bohemian dome’ that has personally designed and handcrafted items – how fun is that? The fun pops of color throughout the dome and perfectly decorated home is in my opinion, the coolest Airbnb in Joshua Tree.
The Casita | $99/night
The Casita, a completely private and cozy guest-home situated just five minutes from town. It boasts a beautifully styled and carefully curated home with modern amenities.
Glamping Tent at Lazy Sky | $150/night
Experience true glamping in one of Lazy Sky’s glamping tents in Joshua Tree. Situated on 10 sprawling acres, it’s the perfect desert retreat.
Architect’s Off-Grid Stargazing Cabin | $350/night
Could this be one of the coolest Airbnbs in Joshua Tree I’ve ever seen? Quite possibly. Their open-air bedroom looks like a dream in addition to their modern amenities.
“Sleeping in the stargazing portal and waking up to a mountainous backdrop cannot be duplicated.”
– Hillary, the Host of Architect’s Off-Grid Stargazing Cabin
Sacred Sands Airbnb Joshua Tree | $299/night
Sacred Sands at Joshua Tree is technically a hotel but don’t worry, each room is completely private. Admire the mojave desert landscape as you bathe under the stars.
All-Glass Modern | $839/night
Feeling luxe? Try this super chic, modern Airbnb in Joshua tree sitting on 3 acres of isolated land that can accommodate up to 8 guests. This pool looks dreamy and perfect for a hot desert day.
