4 Best Buffets in Vegas (and 2 Worst!)

I’ve wanted to share the best buffets in Vegas for a while now and am excited to have this final list! The usual disclaimer is that this is my personal opinion, and while I have tried several buffets in Las Vegas, I have not tried every single one that exists. With that said, this is how I would rank the buffets out of the ones I have tried. Let’s get right into it!

4 Best Buffets in Vegas

1. Bellagio Buffet

The Bellagio buffet is my absolute favorite! I dine there at least once a Vegas trip, oftentimes multiple times. In my opinion, the quality is top-notch, and a huge variety of cuisine is available! I would say Aria has a little bit more of a selection, but you’ll see why it’s not number 1 below. The line does get quite long on weekends, but if you have status with MGM, you can get in the priority lane! If you want to take advantage of both brunch type of food and dinner, I recommend you dine around 2 PM so you can be there as they transition from brunch to dinner (you’re welcome).

2. Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan

Even though I prefer MGM properties and buffets for the priority lane, the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan is absolutely worth going off-brand. Plus, if you’re willing to spend the money, you can pay $50 to get into their priority lane, and trust me, when the line is 2 hours long, it’s worth it. I love the Wicked Spoon’s selection and quality, just like the Bellagio Buffet. They serve everything in little plates and portions, which is helpful since my brain thinks I can consume more than I actually can. Honestly, I would put Wicked Spoon parallel to Bellagio had they been an MGM property, but if you don’t care, I highly recommend putting them first on your list!

3. Wynn

What I love the most about the Wynn buffet is the interior decor. I enjoy and appreciate that they put in the effort to make it aesthetically pleasing and in sort of an Alice in Wonderland, whimsical way. It this important when looking for a buffet? No, not necessarily. However, the fact that it’s beautiful inside does (I think) psychologically affect how I feel about the food since eating is an experience. Again the Wynn buffet, like the others on this list, provide a wide array of food selection. One thing to keep in mind for this location is that there aren’t too many similar quality buffets in the area, so they get extremely booked up.

4. Aria Buffet

I reluctantly add the Aria Buffet, as it still has yet to reopen. I’ve heard rumors that it will not be opening again, which would be incredibly devastating! It’s truly one of the best buffets in Vegas and my absolute favorite on this list. The assortment is fantastic, with lots of unique dishes you would never see at other buffets, and the quality of the food is incredible! This is a little random and not necessarily important but the design and atmosphere of the Aria Buffet were also my favorites out of these four. Natural light as it’s by the big windows next to the Aria pools, modern fixtures, and an open floor plan. Aria, please reopen the buffet!

2 Worst Buffets in Vegas

1. Luxor

Look, I’m sure there are other crappier buffets at smaller Vegas hotels, but Luxor is one of the worst amongst the larger hotels on the strip. It lives in the basement of Luxor’s main tower (the pyramid) and what makes me the most upset is that their price to food quality ratio is ridiculous. If the price per person to access the buffet were 30~50% cheaper than the average buffet on the strip, the Luxor buffet wouldn’t even land on the list. I can admit I’ve been there a few times out of laziness and exhaustion post-EDC, but never again. The food selection isn’t great, and the quality isn’t good enough.

2. MGM Resort

Can it get worse than Luxor? Yes, yes it can. The MGM Resort buffet is the absolute worst buffet in Vegas. It’s so bad I’d rather go to Luxor each time if those were the only options for food. The MGM Resort buffet offers food that tastes like they’ve been repurposed from yesterday’s buffet (or even older!). The buffet area is dark, which is honestly the least of this buffet’s problems. The food was stale, the vegetables and fruits had shades of brown on them, and anything that was cooked in oil was soaked in it. The assortment is also limited (think deep-fried Twinkies as their highlighted food) and just all in all awful. Even if it was free I wouldn’t go.

What do you think? Do you agree, or am I way off? Let me know your thoughts and if you have any recommendations for other Vegas buffets!
