I’m so happy everyone enjoyed Part 1 of Little Tokyo Los Angeles Spots To Try post! I honestly wasn’t sure how it would do since all I did was embed my TikTok (@KanaInLosAngeles) clips and added a little commentary, but lots of views, clicks, and shares happened, so I’m happy you’re happy!

So without further ado, let’s get into part 2, shall we? Let’s gooooo!

Bunkado Little Tokyo

Bunkado is an adorable, two-story gift shop in Little Tokyo. It’s over 70 years old and run by the nicest, Japanese couple and their long-time staff. It’s actually quite a random gift shop as they sell anything from records, books, postcards, origami, to sake cup sets and bento boxes…and honestly probably a lot more! If you want an authentic Japanese gift shop experience, stop by Bunkado and support a small business!

Fugetsudo Little Tokyo

I almost don’t feel like Fugetsudo needs an introduction these days, since it’s been taken up by Bring Me, Buzzfeed and so many more media outlets. Fugetsudo is a tiny, family-run, 100+ year old (!!!) mochi shop. You honestly can’t get any more authentic than this place! The mochi is so delicious and they have all kinds whether you’re looking for something sweet, savory or plain (my favorite, in my opinion!). There’s often a line during the weekend so I recommend going during the week, if possible!

Demitasse (Permanently Closed ?)

Ok yes, so Demitasse has permanently closed but I had to list it here as a tribute. I loved Demitasse, the coffee, the space, the people and the snacks, and I know so many others did too. You’re sorely missed, Demitasse!

Beard Papa’s Little Tokyo

I was first introduced to Beard Papa’s when they opened a shop in Shibuya (Tokyo, Japan) when I was a teenager, maybe? Japanese pastries are delicious and I didn’t think a choux cream (aka, cream puffs) could be this delicious. On special occasions, my Mom and I would grab Beard Papa’s for dessert and it would make my day. So of course, when they started popping up all over LA, I couldn’t be more excited. There’s several locations in Southern California, so check out if they have one near you and give them a try!

Prime Pizza Little Tokyo

I usually love thick, pan, or deep-dish pizza and will never go for regular to thin crust. However, Prime Pizza is different for me. I have to give a shoutout to my editor Grace, as she’s the one that influenced me to try it. She lived in West Hollywood which they have a location as well, but the Little Tokyo one is closer to me so that’s where I go! My favorite order? The Arrabbiata Pizza with added sausage and garlic. You’re welcome. P.S You can grab single slices too!

Best Japanese Snacks Part 1

Here’s a couple bonuses if you’re into Japanese culture and or food! I’m sharing some of the best Japanese snacks according to a Japanese native, which of course, is me. The location of where I filmed this is the Marukai Marketplace inside Weller Court behind the DoubleTree Hotel in Little Tokyo.
