Introducing: Life in Wanderlust, The Podcast! (+ Episode 01)

Life in Wanderlust Travel Podcast

I’m interrupting the regular posting schedule today because I have insanely exciting news! It’s obviously no secret since you clicked on this and have read the title but Life in Wanderlust is now available in podcast form!

I’m not sure why I didn’t start a podcast for Life in Wanderlust before but a few things happened to me recently and I thought – I’m going to do it.

First, an influencer talent agency manager told me something along the lines of, “You have to get on the video bandwagon. If you don’t, you’re falling behind and ultimately setting yourself up for failure”. How can you tell me I’ll “fail” if I don’t start doing videos? I started Life in Wanderlust because I enjoy it and I plan on keeping it that way. I know from personal experience that once you start doing things because you think it’s good or you think it’s what people want to see, you fail by default. Videos are great and kudos to people that have the time, energy and equipment to do it. I don’t see myself creating videos anytime soon so I’ll take the road less traveled: a podcast!

Second, I was going through my content bank for an upcoming post and decided to write a post about 3 of my favorite podcasts. Since 3 isn’t enough, I started looking for travel podcasts that I could start listening to. You know how many I found after a basic search? 3. Perhaps there are more out there but just a basic ‘travel podcast’ search didn’t do much.

Third, I used to co-host a baseball podcast with a friend which generated several listens and a hefty following. It ended because my friend moved out of state and eventually so did I. This was years ago though but out of nowhere, my Dad asks, “remember when you had The Ball Girls podcast?”. It reminded me of how much I loved doing it.

So with all that said, my new podcast is here and live! I would love if you listened to the first couple episodes:

I would also appreciate you forever if you subscribed to the podcast through a platform of your choice:

That’s about it, friends! Thank you for all the continuous support and if you listen to Episode 0 you’ll know that I’m looking for people to interview for Featured Friends – Podcast Edition so shoot me an e-mail if you’re interested!

xoxo

Yay, another podcast to add to my ever-growing list! Fear of flying is such a great place to start (I'm working on a post for it now, so you'll have to excuse me for not listening until I'm done so I don't accidentally steal some of your tips).

These are great news! Kudos to you! I need to start listening since I panic every time I am close to a flying date. Not sure why people generalize and try to tell you what to do. Success is defined differently for people. What works for you is not going to work for other people. I'll say, keep following your heart! #FlyAwayFriday

Congratulations! I haven't gotten on the podcast bandwagon because on the rare occasion that the kids aren't around, I enjoy the quiet. Maybe I'll start with yours. I agree with you about success and failure. You have to do what works best for you and throw all the rest of the advice out the window. #FlyAwayFriday

This is so awesome! Congrats, Kana : ) I've heard the comment about video as well and we are still struggling with what to do there. We don't LOVE video and it takes so much time. I'm happy to hear you've found this outlet instead. #flyawayfree

How cool Kana!! I have subscribed to your podcast and plan to listen to them on my drive to work! I would love to be interviewed! Looking forward to listening to the fear of flying one – I HATE flying with a passion! #FlyawayFriday

I am definitely going to follow this Kana. My fear of flying is getting out of hand and I need to fix it to continue my journey around the globe!

Oh wow! That is super awesome! I know for me switching up my creative things is also a great way to keep feeling fresh. I also love listening to podcasts when I'm say doing photo editing/organizing or something that only requires a small amount of focus. I listen to a lot of different things when I'm doing some other passive work. This will be awesome! #flyawayfriday
