The Bloguettes Experience – Seattle, Washington

Hi friends! Today I wanted to share with you my experience this past weekend in Seattle with the ladies of Bloguettes. If you’re not familiar with them, go ahead and click here for more information but basically, they’re a team of girls that hold two day workshops on branding and photoshop.

That’s not all they do, though! They also provide YouTube tutorials on anything from photoshop tricks to tips on SEO optimization, webinars, one-on-one consultations and one-day workshops such as their Insta Camp

I originally found them because I was looking for branding courses years ago when I used to have a wine blog (that didn’t last long!). I continued following their perfectly composed Instagram account until I started this travel blog. I took one of their webinars (they’re only $10!) and decided it was worth investing in their two-day workshop.

Now here’s a disclaimer. I only attended Day 1, which was a discussion day of branding and social media. This is because I already have a lot of experience in Photoshop and because also I don’t use photoshop at all for my blog. So I decided I would much rather save that money and attend one of their other workshops!

The workshop was held at the Sole Repair Shop and in Bloguettes’ fashion, decorated beautifully. I searched around for my spot and settled down, giddy about the floral decorations and pretty goodies that surrounded me. The sponsors for the day and the goodie bags were fabulous!

After Lorena and Sakura introduced themselves, the discussions started. I don’t want to give up the material so let me just say everything was well presented and I learned a lot of things along the lines of: breaking down each social media platforms, monetizing, branding, etc. By the time it was 5PM, I had a chock full of notes on my notepad and a little bit of information overload, but in a good way! I couldn’t believe how fast the day went.

Contents of the goodie bag! So fun!

I didn’t know what to expect when I first went in but I highly recommend taking the workshop if you’re a small business or a blogger. They have workshops in different cities which you can find by clicking here. It was completely worth the money, educational, fun and I came out feeling empowered.

FYI, I was not sponsored by the Bloguettes – I just really love them!
