The Original Los Angeles Flower Market is one of my favorite places in downtown LA – nay, just LA in general! Living downtown, I feel so lucky to be less than a mile away from the Flower District. If I don’t have plans on Saturdays, you can usually find me at the Flower Market before brunching at Poppy and Rose. Having fresh flowers throughout the home is just the best! Admission Prices
The rumors are true. The Los Angeles Flower Market is generally for industry members since it’s technically a wholesale flower market. However, there are pockets of days and times where the public has access to the incredible prices!
Public admission is $2 per person on weekdays and $1 per person on Saturday.

What it’s like inside the Flower Market
The inside of the market feels like a Farmer’s Market but with flowers, plants and accessories. There’s several vendors throughout the market, so make sure you do a walk through before quickly buying anything! I’ve found that some vendors have better quality flower, or they have a big price discrepancy even for the same thing. Just like for anything else, shop around first for the best deal!
Prices at the Flower Market
People always ask me how much cheaper flowers and plants are at the market. I would venture to say it’s at least 50% cheaper (sometimes upwards of 70%!) than buying them anywhere else.
For example, here are actual prices I’ve paid for flowers and plants:
- 5 Dozen Roses for $25 (that’s right, 5 DOZEN!)
- 6 Sunflowers for $5
- Tropical Bouquet (with at least 10 flowers/leaves) for $6
- 1 Bundle of Tulips for $5
- 1 Bundle (20+ sprigs) of Eucalyptus for $5
- Small Succulent w/ pot for $1.50 each
- Medium Succulent w/ pot for $3.00 each
- Small Cactus for $2 w/ pot
- Large Crystal Vase for $7
Parking at the Flower Market
The market has a parking lot on their rooftop but you’ll find plenty of other paid parking lots in the area. If you’re early (or lucky!) enough, you may be able to snag street parking.
A local’s tip is to be careful where you park, if you decide on street parking. The Flower District is adjacent to Skid Row, so make sure you and your car end up in a safe area!
Huge variety of plants at the Flower Market! Always so happy! Eucalyptus in our shower!
What to do around the Flower District
Before or after your Flower Market trip, make sure to stop by Poppy and Rose (featured here in my 5 Best Brunches in Downtown Los Angeles post) for breakfast, brunch or lunch! They’re located right across the entrance of the market.
A few other places I recommend in the area:
– No Ghost Bears Coffee
– Nickel Diner
– Stumptown Coffee
– Paris Baguette Bakery
