How to Spend a Weekend in Downtown Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles
Views from my old apartment rooftop 🙂

If you don’t know where to start with how to spend a weekend in downtown Los Angeles, you’ve come to the right place. There are a lot of articles and blog posts on how to spend time in the greater Los Angeles area (think Hollywood sign, Santa Monica Pier, etc) but ideas on things to do in downtown Los Angeles are much fewer.

With that said, as someone that’s lived in downtown Los Angeles for over 5 years now, I’m here to help you plan a wonderful time in my neighborhood! In addition to this post, you can click here for all things Los Angeles from my blog, or here for my TikTok that’s chock full of things to do in DTLA, or here on my Instagram. Hotels in Downtown Los Angeles

When thinking about how to spend a weekend in downtown Los Angeles, your hotel stay is of utmost importance. Since Airbnbs are far and few between in DTLA (I also personally don’t enjoy Airbnbs when staying in any city’s downtown area), I want to introduce hotels that I recommend at a range of prices.

  • DoubleTree Little Tokyo ($$)
  • InterContinental Downtown Los Angeles ($$$$)
  • Sheraton Downtown Los Angeles ($$)
  • Freehand Hotel ($$)
  • Miyako Hotel Downtown Los Angeles ($$)
  • Wayfarer Hotel ($$)
  • Millenium Biltmore Hotel ($$$)
  • Conrad Hotel Downtown Los Angeles ($$$$)
