Ever since the Snoopy Cafe Japan opened, I’ve wanted to go. The moment I went back home to Tokyo for the first time in 3 years, I dragged my dear Mother to the Snoopy Cafe in Harajuku. There are actually a few options throughout Japan (Snoopy Museum and Cafe, a handful within Tokyo, and the Snoopy Hotel, etc.). This specific review is the Peanuts Sunnyside Kitchen Cafe in Harajuku; let’s go!
While you’re here, here’s my Pokemon Cafe post, Tiffany’s Cafe post, and 18 pages of Japan posts right here.
Snoopy Cafe Tokyo (How to Get There)
If you’re headed to Harajuku (which you should for a fun time, anyway), this will be the perfect break or lunch spot for you! Nestled in the backstreet of Takeshita Street in Harajuku, the Peanuts Cafe Sunny Side Kitchen is adorably waiting for your arrival. Specifically, head down Takeshita Street from the Harajuku Station and right across Daiso, you’ll see a small street. Head down there and you’ll see the cafe on your right hand side!
Keep in mind I was there around 3:00 PM on a weekday, so I was able to walk in without any reservations, and it wasn’t busy at all. However, I highly recommend making reservations in advance! You can do so here.
Interior
The interior of the Peanuts Cafe is as adorable as you might think. The style is chic, but with that Peanuts charm. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but I recommend indoors if possible! There’s giant Snoopy art on the walls, and the chairs are adorned with Peanuts characters all over.
Food at Snoopy Cafe
Whether you’re going in for a full meal, or just a little snack, you’re in for a treat! They have a simple, and straight-forward menu that’s sure to delight your eyes and stomach. Japan loves seasonal items, so you might be lucky enough to grab a seasonal menu item too!
We got this adorable Snoopy Pancake! It’s as cute as it is on the menu, and it was the most fluffy pancake I’ve ever eaten. Something about Japan you should know about, is that the quality of the food is always good. There’s so many things in the US where it could be cute and ‘grammable but not good, but that’s almost never the case in Japan. We also got these drinks below!
If you want to see the full menu, you can click here for their official website. I saw others ordering pasta and it looked and smelled delicious!
And yes, they had a huge section of kitchen and souvenir items. I’m having serious regrets not grabbing a few plates and this t-shirt. Maybe next time!
