When I shared my last post (Best Travel Bags 2022) on Instagram (follow me if you love food and beautiful views!), someone asked me what my favorite travel must-haves were, specifically things that can be purchased through Amazon. That triggered me to actually collect my thoughts and items that I enjoy using for travel that I’ve purchased through Amazon; definitely a fun project!
So here it is, my travel must haves from Amazon for 2022. Enjoy!
- Packing Cubes
- Packing cubes are a must have when traveling for me. I’m definitely a type-A personality and couldn’t fathom not having all my clothing and accessories organized by these packing cubes. Trust me, it will make packing (and unpacking) so much easier!
- Shoe Bags
- Similar to the packing cubes, shoe bags are absolutely necessary. I never used to use them until a few years ago when I received some as a gift and never looked back. Shoes get so dirty and sometimes you just don’t have any extra plastic bags laying around to put them in! Might as well have dedicated shoe bags like these!
- Tech Organizer
- Especially when I’m traveling for work, I have a million chargers, cords, external batteries, etc. This tech organizer has made me feel so much more put together. Now I don’t have to search the bottom of my carry-on just to pull out different cords!
- Hanging Toiletry Bag
- Whoever invented the hanging toiletry bag has my eternal gratitude. I love being able to hang this toiletry bag in the bathroom and have everything organized. I admit I own both types (this one and the below bag) and use them accordingly, depending on the type of trip. Either way, love both of them!
- Toiletry Bag
- Something I adore about this toiletry bag is the large opening, and brush slots. There’s nothing more infuriating than trying to dig for things in a large bag, and this large opening makes things easily searchable.
- Clear Makeup Bag
- I actually own the Calpack version of this but was able to find a much cheaper dupe on Amazon that’s just as good. I always put my accessories and smaller toiletries I want in-flight in this bag. It’s compact, and it’s so easy to access. It also works as a ‘clear bag’ for liquids when passing through TSA.
- Steripod Toothbrush Covers
- I love bringing my usual toothbrush with me when traveling and cannot live without these Steripod toothbrush protectors. There are a lot of them out there, but the Steripod ones will sterilize and this particular one has a mint scent!
- Travel Shampoo Bottles with Pump
- When I tell you I despise travel shampoo bottles! One is obviously for environmental reasons, but you can never reach the bottom of the bottle so you end up wasting product. When I saw this on someone’s TikTok, I immediately purchased it. The pump is such a lifesaver, and so environmentally friendly!
- Gilette Venus Mini Shaving Kit
- Especially for longer trips, I like to bring this handy Gilette Venus Mini Shaving Kit. I love how compact it is, but it still of course does its job. For shaving cream, I tend to use my conditioner or even shampoo (skincare people don’t come at me!) so no need for me to lug around shaving cream.
- Passport Case with Vaccination Card Slot
- I just placed an order for this passport case with a vaccination card window slot, and I’m so excited! With so much travel coming up, including international trips, it’ll be very important that I carry around my vaccination card with me. I love that my passport and vaccination card will be in one place!
- 10ft iPhone Chargers
- I actually use this at home too, but the 10ft chargers are so fantastic especially when traveling. Some accommodations are great about having a charging port in convenient locations but we all know sometimes we have to reach behind the nightstand to find an outlet. In those cases, these long chargers are fantastic! This one, in particular, comes in a pack of 3, so you can keep one at home and 2 in your luggage!
- Atomizers
- Another travel item that whoever invented this, I am so grateful to! I pride myself on, “omg you smell so good” compliments and am also very picky with my fragrances. Being able to pump my favorite perfumes into these tiny atomizers is pure genius. I have this exact one which comes in a pack of 4 so I can travel with multiple of my favorite perfumes!
- Samsonite Carry-On
- This is by far, my favorite carry-on suitcase of all time. I currently own this particular one, and I will use them to death. I don’t want anything fancy, trendy, or anything, especially for my carry-on. It has multiple pockets, it’s a trusted brand, and you can’t beat it!
- Amazon Basics Backpack
- I know people are picky with their backpacks and I get that. But if you’re looking for something simple and reliable, I’ve fallen in love with this Amazon Basics Backpack. It’s extremely functional, durable, and at such a fantastic price. Highly recommend!
- BONUS: Calpak Luka Duffel
- This is not an Amazon item so it’s a bonus, but I’m so obsessed with this that I had to include it. The trolley pocket works perfectly with my Samsonite carry-on and it’s a dream combo! With this combination, I can pack for at least a week.
