I’m excited to be sharing my Vdara Hotel review today! My husband and I were excited to get away for an entire week for a change of scenery. Las Vegas has been one of our few travel destinations during COVID since we’ve felt safe and comfortable with how the businesses here are handling the pandemic. We opted to drive from our home in Downtown LA to Las Vegas for our getaway (read more about road-tripping from LA to Las Vegas here!)
Since we both work from home, we were able to make the Panoramic Suite at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas our home/office for the week (the Vdara is a part of the famous Aria Resort and Casino). Here’s my full review of our stay!
The Panoramic Suite: A Jackpot View
As we stepped into our suite, the first thing we noticed was the view. The Vdara Hotel website describes the Panoramic Suite as a “wow factor” room, and let me tell you they’re not exaggerating. The room boasts 270-degree views of the Vegas strip, directly facing the beautiful Aria campus. It’s hard to complain about waking up to this every morning!
The Bedrooms
One of the things I loved about this suite was that the bedrooms were separate, as opposed to loft-style. The space and privacy would make this a great option for a couples’ getaway or a girls’ weekend! My editor is already trying to convince me to plan a “research trip” for the two of us in this suite – aka a girls’ spa getaway. The beds were plush and cozy, and both rooms were beautifully sunlit every morning.
The Vdara is also one of the few “hotel rooms only” accommodations on the strip, meaning the building is not host to a casino. This keeps the rooms quiet and peaceful, while still only a 3-minute walk to the Aria and the rest of the strip, so you’re never far from the action. The Panoramic is also a corner suite, adding to the peace, quiet, and privacy of the hotel.
Kitchenette & Living Space
While we didn’t use it much this stay, there’s a great kitchenette in the suite. With a full-sized fridge and dining area, this would be a great feature for a longer stay or if you don’t prefer to eat out for every meal. We mainly used the dining area as an office space, which was also great!
Dining and Kitchen area
We loved having the living room space to kick back at the end of the day and watch TV, or to have a little pre-dinner cocktail. I could also see this feature being awesome if you’re vacationing with another couple or with friends. It’s a great spot to sit and chat or have coffee together in the morning.
Dining
Since the Vdara is a quick walk from the strip, you have countless options for any type of cuisine you might be craving. There are also two convenient options immediately inside Vdara: Starbucks and the Vdara Market Cafe. The Market Cafe was decent for a quick meal (baked goods, salads, wraps, etc.) but we typically just walked over to the Aria for more options. I highly recommend Eataly inside Park MGM, which you can walk to through Aria!
Amenities
There is a full washer-dryer in-unit, which is perfect if you want to pack light or plan a longer stay. We didn’t end up using it on this trip, but I could think of countless times on other getaways when I would have loved to have laundry available to me this readily.
I could never complete this review without talking about my absolute favorite feature of the Panoramic Suite – the bathtub. If you’ve read my hotel reviews, you know a bathtub can make or break a trip for me. With a gorgeous view, the spa-style soaking tub was an absolute dream. I’m pretty sure I lost count of how many baths I took that week. I mean look at this set-up – can you blame me?
